Orange County Producers Recognized: Loran and Kathy Wilson, Orleans IN received a Beyond-the-Fence Award from the Indiana Soybean Alliance at the Livestock, Forage & Grain Forum for Outstanding Neighbor Relations by a Farmer. The Wilsons, beef producers, recognize that the best way to teach the non-farm public about farming is to get them on the farm. Last year, they hosted an open house so their neighbors could learn a little about what goes on at their farm.

Indiana Farmers Commit to Conversation with Consumers: In a show of unity and solidarity seldom seen before in Indiana agriculture, ten commodity organizations plus Indiana Farm Bureau joined forces for a daylong forum designed to improve the communication between Indiana farmers and consumers.
