2014 IBCA Membership Incentive - The IBCA is conducting a fund raising drive to benefit Protect the Harvest. Beginning in January 2014, each additional $5 donation to Protect the Harvest along with your IBCA dues will qualify for one entry in the IBCA Vacation Sweepstakes. You might win - Airfare from Indianapolis + 4 nights' accommodations in Washington DC for two*. Applies to new and renewal memberships.
*Entry deadline is November 30, 2014. The winner will be selected December 7, 2014. Vacation package is based on two people sharing the same accommodations and is valid for select travel dates January 1, 2015 through December 1, 2015. Blackout dates may apply. Prize will not be extended and must be booked through the IBCA office 30 days prior to travel. The prize is non-transferrable and not redeemable for cash. Any additional travel arrangements or tours must be purchased separately by the winner.

BOAH Seeks Input on Changes to Livestock Laws - Indiana's laws that designate what types of identification and documentation are needed for livestock will soon be changing. Hoosier livestock producers and others have the opportunity to give their input on the proposed changes in a virtual public hearing, hosted by the Indiana State Board of Animal Health.

IBCA Honors Industry's Best at Awards Banquet - The Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) honored the state's top cattlemen at their Annual Convention on February 22nd at the Lucas Estate in Carmel. Beef producers from across the state attended to salute the men who provided the leadership for the Indiana beef industry over the past year.

New IBCA and IBC Board of Directors Set to Begin Work for 2014 - (INDIANAPOLIS) – This year, the Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) held three elections during the ten Area Beef Meetings to choose Area Directors to sit on the IBCA-IBC Board of Directors. Beef producers in Area 6 re-elected Neil Hollingsworth of Lebanon, producers in Area 2 re-elected Ryan Batt of Salem and producers in Area 11 re-elected Rob Raab from Markle.

2014 IBCA Bylaws - The IBCA Bylaws were updated at the November 6, 2013 Executive Board of Directors meeting and are being posted here for public view in accordance with Article XV regarding Amendments to the IBCA Bylaws. These bylaws may be amended at an Annual Business Meeting upon proposed recommendations from the Beef Board of Directors. Proposed amend­ments to the bylaws shall be made available from the Association to all members at least thirty (30) days prior to the Annual Business Meeting. Amendments must be supported by two-thirds (2/3) of the members present and voting to be adopted.
